Clegg Food Projects - Review of the Year 2016

17 Jan 2017

2016 will certainly go down in history as monumental year in politics, with the effects of Brexit felt across all sectors including food and drink.  In spite of this, workforces in food manufacture are expanding and set to rise even further in 2017 and plans for capital expenditure also grew across the industry in 2016.

Building Relationships

At Clegg Food Projects, 2016 has been a positive year with overall project numbers and turnover increasing steadily since 2015.  We have formed new relationships with major food company Moy Park and growing businesses Red Deer Herbs, along with completing our first project for food-to-go company Street Eats.  We have also worked on two exciting projects for UK breweries, with both projects continuing into 2017.

As well as working with new clients, we’ve revisited projects for customers we have worked with for many years, including the completion of a new distribution centre in Enfield for long-standing client, Greggs.  Our team has also delivered projects for 2 Sisters Food Group and Samworth Brothers over the last 12 months.

Exhibitions and Accolades

In 2016 we exhibited at Foodex at the NEC in April and delivered presentations and Camden BRI.  For the fifth year running, we won Gold award in the RoSPA (Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents) Health and Safety Awards, in recognition of our continued commitment to maintaining excellent health and safety.

We already have a number of projects in the pipeline for 2017 and look forward to seeing what this year will bring in our industry.
