Pasta Evangelists – New Manufacturing Facility

Clegg Food Projects completes construction of the UK’s largest fresh pasta facility with state-of-the-art installations for booming fresh pasta brand.

Overview of the Pasta Evangelists project

Clegg Food Projects was appointed by Pasta Evangelists – a booming direct-to-consumer brand – as the principal contractor and was responsible for designing and building the UK’s largest fresh pasta manufacturing facility.

Charged with overseeing the conversion of the building, the space underwent a huge transformation – changing use from a retail operator’s head office and warehouse, into a high-care fresh pasta and sauce facility.

Located in west London, the building was completely reconfigured, with the Clegg Food Projects team repurposing the internal space to create a high-end commercial food processing, packaging, and storage facility with distribution space that will allow the brand to deliver a 360 service.

We also oversaw the installation of state-of-the-art equipment, supporting Pasta Evangelists’ mission to experiment with new flavours, high-quality seasonal ingredients, and a variety of pasta shapes to expand its growing pasta portfolio.

The project was commissioned following a period of rapid innovation and growth for Pasta Evangelists, which was famously turned down by Dragon’s Den in 2018. Demand for its products continues to rise – especially as it expands into new channels following its sale to Barilla in 2021 – having delivered more than one million portions of pasta in 2022.

Work initially began on-site in early 2022 and was completed in the autumn of 2023, with a launch event to celebrate the landmark opening.
