Overview of the Melton Foods refurbishment
Clegg Food Projects completed the refurbishment and extension of Melton Foods’ sandwich factory.
The facility, located in Melton Mowbray, was originally a new build facility commissioned by Samworth Brothers and delivered by Clegg Food Projects in the late 1990s.
The most recent development occurred in two phases. First, additional production space was created to manufacture a new range of products focused on food service customers.
Almost immediately after, this was followed by the expansion and revamp of a New Product Development suite, staff restaurant and customer presentation area along with improved staff changing and factory access.
The Clegg Food Projects team worked closely with the Melton Foods management and operations teams to complete the work in a live manufacturing environment with minimal impact on the operation.
