Clegg Food Projects exhibits PPMA for the first time

The PPMA Total Show, held at the NEC in Birmingham, is one of the leading UK shows for processing and packaging machinery. It showcases the latest robotics and industrial systems across a range of industries. This includes food and drink, pharmaceuticals, building materials and more.

Clegg Food Projects has attended the show many times over the years but this is the first time it has exhibited at the event.

Why did Clegg Food Projects exhibit at the PPMA show?

John Moxon, business development director at Clegg Food Projects, said: “As our focus is the construction of food manufacturing premises and installation of building services rather than process equipment. This made us quite unique and different to the other exhibitors.

“The food and drink industry, overall, has had a strong year so far and I think this was reflected by the number of exhibitors and attendees. It was a great opportunity to catch up with existing or old contacts and everyone who dropped by the stand said how busy business is at the moment.”

Organised by the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA), the event is hosted every three years and spans across three days (29 September to 1 October). The weekend saw more than 8,000 visitors from a wide range of sectors.

Oliver Jenkins, business development manager, added: “This was my first event since joining Clegg Food Projects in August, so it was a great way to really get embedded and learn the ropes.

“It was a well organised event that enabled us to show off what we can offer to a number of potential new clients who were visiting the show. It was a successful event and a great show to exhibit at.”
