Overview of the Greggs storage and distribution centre
This is the third storage and distribution centre that Clegg Food Projects has completed for Greggs. However, the team has been working with the baked goods giant for almost 20 years and completed a number of bakery projects over the years.
Located in Amesbury, Wiltshire, the ambient, chilled and frozen storage facility will supply Greggs’ shops across the south and south west of England. This development is a key part of Greggs’ expansion strategy and will enable the bakery retailer to open more stores in the future.
Clegg Food Projects provided a full construction service on the facility. This included delivering all the buildings as well as the mechanical, electrical and refrigeration services installations.
This project required a quick turnaround and was constructed within just nine months.
