Overview of the Noble Foods egg packing project

Following a competitive tendering process Clegg Food Projects was selected by Noble Foods to deliver its new egg packing and distribution centre.

Upon appointment the Clegg Food Projects team first carried out a detailed value engineering exercise on the client’s initial design of the facility. During this time the team identified capital savings of approximately 10% of the project cost.

The project required the integration of an existing office and distribution centre as this continued to operate as construction took place.

The facility also included extensive temperature-controlled storage for the receipt of eggs from farms in the region. Additionally, a finished goods storage area was created to store the packed product before distribution to retailer warehouses across the south of England.
